Listing all preserved low floor buses...

Hi all, hope the admins don't mind me posting this!

Yesterday an idea crossed my mind, that I don't think currently exists anywhere online at the moment - a list of all low floor Buses that survive in preservation. I have partly been inspired by someone who listed all surviving Leyland Nationals, which they remember as a child, and there's more of them than you'd think survive. The aim would be to have it as an interactive spreadsheet or website that can be filtered etc, but the latter would be very time consuming. A PSV Circle Book would probably help with this list but I don't have one to hand unfortunately

Below I've attached everything I've got so far, and the table setup being used from on Excel. If anyone knows of anything I've not got on there, please let me know on here. Note the other columns for livery, status, location, links are all a work in progress but show what I want to develop it into.

I'm sure there's some survivors on there that will survive you all!! I was particularly surprised by the DAF SB220 with Alexander ALX300 bodywork that appears to be preserved, as per a Flickr photo! A combination I had forgot existed altogether. A lot of these have been found purely by trauling through Facebook pages and Flickr photos, and a good chunk have never been active on the Rally scene it seems.

Any recommendations or ideas for this 'project' are welcomed.

The number of low floor buses being preserved is very steadily increasing - it's good as a sizeable community is building up. Withdrawn but working buses are going for little more than scrap value as contract age restrictions, emissions and PSVAR regulations ever increasingly limit their earning potential.

It is a rewarding hobby, but also very expensive, unless the bus is merely an ornament on land where there's no charge to park it!

Optare Solo V980 XUB is preserved on Merseyside too.

I’ve seen a trident in preservation 18062 used to run the 12 in Devon and a Volvo B6 low floor is in preservation P701BTA that also ran the 12

The PSV Preserved Bus publication lists everything known as at March 2018 -and whilst there will be many additions (and vehicles sold out of preservation) this will save you time to act as a "start" list and avoid loads of silly "0ne off" messages

Lothian have a few in their heritage fleet - Volvos 112 (s/d) and 701 (d/d) plus Tridents 572 and 664.

There's also former Lothian Dart 61 at the SVBM.

Rehashing an old forum since its been a while since the last update, Nottingham Heritage Vehicles have two more low-floor buses that have since been preserved.

It’s amazing just how many Dennis Darts have been saved, but rightly so when you consider how many were built in comparison to other single deckers
