Lisbon Area Railway Recommendations

I will be in Portugal on Thursday and was wondering what's doable in a day from Lisbon (my flight back is at 20:50 so need to be at the airport in time for that).
I've already done the tram on a previous visit and that doesn't take that long anyway. I was thinking the National Railway Museum at Entroncamento might be a possibility? Alternatively are there any scenic routes that I could take (doesn't have to be anything transport related at the end of it)?

Last time I was in Lisbon I took a day trip to Setubal.

You can use the Fertagus one way and CP + ferry via Barreiro the other.

The Linha de Cascais is pretty nice if you haven't done it yet, quite scenic coastal views. Cascais itself is quite nice as well!

Agree with above-for a shorter trip that line to Cascais (also an inviting small coastal town) is best/scenic.
IF you are more into trams (I am), then there is Portugals newest/latest system in Alameda (or the like) which is south of the river Tagus a short distance from Lisboa. As can be expected new, just 1 not too long line and ´boring´ new stock.
A daytrip, IF an early rise can be done to Coimbra might be possible, I myself would not risk it with that flite in evening-Portugals´s nicest small city, had a trolleybussystem (I think abandoned now), frequent service, but not a very scenic line to.

Tram timetable information for antique cable car connecting Praia das Maçãs and Sintra center in a wonderful 45min drive uphill. Did you know that the tram stops right infront of our Aldeia da Praia? Just sit on the bench and wink the tram down to stop to take you to magic Sintra.

2 return journeys in winter giving half an hour or so down at Praia. The Sintra terminus is about 500m from Portela or Sintra stations, don't worry about not seeing it as you approach, its hiding behind trees on the left at a roundabout! It's a roadside interurban running through countryside down a valley to the sea, so unlike any of the other portuguese lines.
