I wish to ask what is the policy of bus companies if there is a Bag of liquid hanging from a bus seat?

Said passengers were not sure what was it content, it was either lentil soup, Sick or something else.

Find something to pick it up with (gloves, someone's jumper ;) etc), pick it up, shove it in another bag, throw that bag in the bin?

Surely?

If any bus operator does have a Bag Of Liquid Hanging From A Bus Seat Policy I would like to see it though!

Myself and passengers had the delight of this for a nice journey over the weekend.

I doubt bus companies have a specific policy for 'unidentified liquid in a bag hanging from a seat'.

Just pick it up and throw it away. (Always obey the How to Pick Up a Bag of Liquid guidance with particular reference to the section on Safe Lifting of Bags).

We told the driver and he did nothing about it, we do think it was sick. Mind you the blue plastic bag was rather strong swaying about.

A coach company I used to work for did issue drivers with a set of instructions that gave advice on how to handle safely items that the driver deemed to be unsafe or unhygienic. Drivers were equipped with latex gloves, bags and a box for sharps.
If the issue could not be resolved by the driver he / she could declare the bus unfit for passenger service and return to depot for the matter to be dealt with at the depot by the depot cleaners etc.
