I notice that there have been a few (maybe 4) return passenger workings between Edinburgh and Linlithgow this afternoon. This seems to be an "evening peak" thing: if it's possible to run this service (and it has actually run - I've checked RTT), why isn't it running throughout the day, thus reducing the need for bustitutes?

Doesn't look like passenger service, nothing our Darwin clients made public, 18:43 just departed 2E...

There were several 1ZXX services pencilled in from Edinburgh to Linlithgow for tomorrow but they seem to have been cancelled.
What I have heard here is that when the last weekend test run happened the 385 was only reading 7kV feed at Linlithgow probably due to the feed normally coming from the Polmont end.
Now if only we still has 25kV/6.25kV stock.....
Of course we could just use DMUs or 125s which would be unaffected by the overhead limitations, although there is a challenge terminating trains from the east I believe.

I live 500 yards (for newer members that's just over 20 chains) from Linlithgow station and it's strange not hearing any trains come through at all......
