Linlithgow - Liverpool?

I am trying to update by log book at present, not done it for about a year so have lots to fill in & there are a few gaps in my memory.

Anyway I attended the Liverpool - Newcastle match at Anfield on Sunday 4th November KO 16:00.

How would I have made this journey from Linlithgow? I had a Freedom of the North West Rover is that is any help (probably not?). Was there any engineering works? Would it have been possible to travel via Edinburgh & Preston on TPE?

Not much to go on but over to you?

You would have to change at either Edinburgh or Glasgow. TPE services run from both to Preston, but your North West Rover would be valid only south of Lockerbie. You would then have to go from Preston to Liverpool Lime St., either direct (Northern 142, 150 or 156), or by changing at Wigan North Western. (Preston to Ormskirk has no sunday service)
