322's are fast, but I dislike the ride quality very much. I used to get thrown about them something awful. :(

Sounds like fun to me, I remember being a kid on pre-refurbished class 303s with the deep springy seats, those used to bounce you around and it was a lot of fun

Zonecard is one of the most over complicated tickets i've ever come across, about 80 odd zones or more when lahndan tahn has 6.

it's so complicated it basically generates its own fare evasion since no-one can tell whether your ticket is valid.

It is fun as long as you are not working them! I do miss the 303's though, if only for their reliability in wintry conditions. The 334's didn't exactly do themselves proud during the winter there.:) There is a fair whack of evasion with zonecards. One does get used to many of the zones required for a journey though. Some staff carry the map leaflet for it to help them, but that tells it's own story! You shouldn't need one in the first place! I wish they would revamp it, make it simpler. Better for the passengers to understand also.

334s had problems, yes, but were up and running again very quickly. It was the 320s that caused a lot of the problems; they had to run around in 6 car formation all the time and quite a few rush hour trains were actually running shorter than usual as a result!

Are you sure? The 334's also had to run around in 6 car formation on local runs (Newton, Neilston and Circles) for a while due to problems with sucking in snow through the traction motors, and indeed 156's initially and then 314's and 318's covered their work on Ayr runs for quite a few days. You can't beat proven reliability!!!:D
