I was at Basingstoke and Woking stations on Friday and noticed that the platform lights at both kept switching on and off as the sun went behind clouds and emerged again. The light heads had pods on top which suggested light sensors. Are these all under test or have they been set deliberately like this? If the latter, the amount of time they will be on for no good reason (a cloudy day does not justify lights being on) is going to be very wasteful.
