Hi all,

What is or was in the building on the station approach to Lichfield Trent Valley? It looks to be disused now - signals? comms??

Also at Shenstone, what is or was upstairs in the lovely station building? staff accomodation?

Cheers

Do you mean the building on the downside of the line at the North end of the station? , if so that’s Howarth House which is a redundant building formerly offices and small workshop that felony’s to The Arch Company.

Yes it's Howarth House on Station Approach Lichfield. Formerly used by privatised Infrastructure companies GTRM/Carillion, Bethell Rail and lastly Amey. Bit of an eyesore now needs flattening!

In terms of "Upstairs at Shenstone" all I can say is that for some time, along with a couple of other stations on the line, it was home to PC Cardboard Cutout. ;)

Presumably before he went to work permanently in the window of every Poundland store...
