Hello, I am travelling one way from Leyland to Huyton next week. I am looking at the direct train which stops at St Helens Central. Can I buy a Single from Leyland to St Helens Central, then use my Merseyside over 60s pass from St Helens Central to Huyton, as if spltting at St Helens Central.

Thanks

Yes, that is fine. In fact, since your Merseyside Pass is valid as far north/east as Garswood, you only need to buy a ticket from Leyland to Garswood, which is slightly cheaper. The train you use doesn't need to stop at Garswood as you have a concessionary pass. You are allowed to make non-stop splits when using concessionary passes (unless prohibited by the pass' conditions, which isn't the case here); the same goes when using rangers, rovers, season tickets and other tickets or passes which allow unlimited travel over a given time/area.

Thank you, I didn't realised that.
