Lewes to London peak hours

My partner has to commute from Lewes to London for the next week or so, 3 days a week. They need to be at London Bridge for 09.15 latest.

Peak fares are incredibly expensive and the cheapest way I’ve found for them to do this is to buy a anytime return to Godalming for £35.50, then at East Croydon get off, exit the station, and tap back in on PAYG for the final leg.

Is there any cheaper way to do this? And if not, is it necessary to physically exit the barriers at East Croydon to tap in?

Yes, the only way to tap in at East Croydon is to physically use the barriers. However, it may be quicker to use the barriers on the overbridge than those at the main exit.

A 7-Day season ticket from Lewes to London terminals costs £154.10 might be worth considering. Bear in mind that a season can start on any day of the week.

Costs more than the split mentioned above but certainly less faff.
