Lewes - Llandridnod advice

Hi all,

I'm travelling Lewes to Llandridnod tomorrow on a Lewes-Swansea ticket and a Swansea to Llandridnod ticket (I know the separate tickets shouldn't matter but just for full detail!). I can already see that my 11.38 Swansea to Llandrindod tomorrow is cancelled.

The most straightforward way for me to get there is to travel to Hereford instead and get a bus from there. But will GWR accept my ticket to Hereford or will I have to buy a new one and then claim delay repay on my original journey?

Thanks for any insight.

Alternative: on your Swansea ticket at Cardiff use the T4, departure 1210 (2 hourly) takes 3h. That’s from Greyfriars Road though, opposite side of the centre toCentral.

If a new ticket to Hereford you want a refund from your retailer, not delay repay from the operator

Contact TfW via WhatsApp on +44 7790 952507. There may be rail replacement buses planned from Swansea. Otherwise, hopefully they'd authorise you on GWR via Hereford. Try GWR Twitter too.

If that draws a blank, then speak to station staff/guards if you get a chance.

Thanks. The 'helpful' people on TfW Whatsapp told me to catch a bus from Swansea (there aren't any) and that my ticket isn't valid on any other route.
I'm planning on travelling on GWR to Cardiff (on the train now) and then hoping TfW will authorise travel with them to Hereford. Suspect easier to talk to people on the ground.
