:( Move from Weybourne NNR to Shildon NRM via low loader pick up at Sheringham NNR. I wish I had the opportunity to travel/work LEV1. Saw her tucked away in Weybourne yard every time I passed through working now she isn't there. Rumours have it that she isn't in a brilliant internal interior.

Knowing LEV's im not supprised - That 'thing' over on the Downpatrick and County Down railway is awful, and could barely move back up the line to Downpatrick station without serious struggle and smoke from the gearbox...As for the interior - It's the first time that's ive actually ever seen more rust forming on the interior than exterior - the metal framework holding the glass partitions for example were in such a dire state, that the glass panel was just flapping back and forth...

You must have been one of the very few to actually travel on it given the err, reliability issues. It's now under cover in our nice new gallery.

Restoration shouldn't be too challenging though, plenty of Leyland Nationals and associated parts still in this world to bolt back on!

Well, it was back in 2010 (the day after the 12 counties railtour). I have to admit that im not supprised to hear that it's been stored - The LEV certainly was struggling climbing back up out of the triangle up to Downpatrick (Most Leyland Nationals seem to have this problem as a friends Mk1 dosent like gradients either!), as was certainly smoking on it's arrival back in Downpatrick - Gearbox issues i think?

And in a few years time, a good few Pacers too!
