Catching the 0613 to Peterborough then a National Express East Coast train to arrive at York before 0930?
Splitting the tickets at Doncaster would that make it cheaper?

On the national Express East Coast Website Advance Single tickets form Leicester to York are still vailable for this Saturday morning at quite cheap rates.

0613 from Leicester (change at Peterborough) arrive York 0851 is £19.15
0636 from Leicester (change at Nottingham and Sheffield) arrive York 0945 is only £13.50.

Off Peak Singles pay on the day on Saturday are £41.50 via Sheffield and £53.60 via Peterborough

Splitting at Donny is more expensive.

LEI-YRK Off Peak Return £54.60 is actually valid on any train, any route (as it's more expensive than Route Sheffield so also valid that way). I'm sure the return portion will come in handy some time.

Peterborough-York Super Off Peak Day Return is £28 (the single is 10p less)

In that case splitting at Donny does make it cheaper, but only by about a quid!
