Leicester to Scarborough - Advance Tickets

Hi

I usually book a Leicester to Scarborough and vv Advance ticket for a friend holding a Senior railcard, travelling on a Thursday am and returning Tuesday am for £7.90.

I book well in advance, but I am unable to locate any of these £7.90 fares now..

Can anyone tell me if these fares have been withdrawn?

What dates and times are you looking for? It maybe that the lowest fares have sold out for the dates you are looking at, or advance ticket quotas have not been released.

I have looked at every Thursday departure outbound and every Tuesday departure inbound in July and haven't found any for any of the dates.

As the ticket is an advance ticket it is very possible that now it is the summer, this ticket is no longer available, as the trains are busy enough without the need to sell tickets at that price level, therefore the lowest price advance available has been set to one of the higher priced tickets.

Or these tickets might of just sold out on the trains you are looking at, highly likely to be what I said first though.

The £7.90 Railcard Advance Single Leicester - Scarborough route XC & Connections still exists.

Travelling outward on Thursday 29 August and returning on Tuesday 3 September, a £7.90 ticket is available for the return leg leaving Scarborough at 1048 or 1148. For the outward leg, the cheapest I can find is £11.55 leaving Leicester at 1104.
