Ok cheapest from Leicester to Runcorn Next saturday say about 8am, two adults one way ticket, on a job again!

now I have a few routes in mind and I'm checking them out at the moment,

so We have Leicester to Sheffield first, then sheffiled to Runcorn if possible but I know that there will be another change in there somewhere, other way I though of was Leicester to Nuneaton, then the WCML up manchester way and do it from that direction. as I said I'm getting the prices now.

now my mate got £41.80 each so I just want to see if that could possibly be lowered.. not too sure though,

thanks again as you guys know your stuff as always :D

cheers,

Nuneaton - Runcorn Super Off-Peak Day Single (LM Only) £17.90
Total: £27.70ea

Change at Nuneaton and Stafford

Awesome cheers mate :)

So much for the way the government and all these boards have said that finding the cheapest fairs should be made easier, I go through the National Rail site and it gives me something which costs more, I'm slowly learning where to change though from you guys!

thanks again :)

No problem!

As a general rule, London Midland's cheapo tickets are for itineraries where they are the only operator, e.g. no connections. Their principal long-distance routes are Euston-Crewe via Northampton and the Trent Valley, Euston-Birmingham via Northampton and Birmingham-Liverpool.

If you're happy to commit yourself to a specific train, you could look for cheapo Advance tickets from Nuneaton-Runcorn. This can be used in conjunction with a Leicester-Nuneaton Off-Peak Day Single, so long as you leave the minimum connection time of 5 minutes at Nuneaton between your train from Leicester arriving and your next one departing.

It's fine, ignore me, I was looking at the wrong thing,

Being up since 5.30am for work doesn't help either!
