Leicester LIP

Hi all,

I passed Leicester LIP yesterday, and getting the loco numbers is a nightmare with those wagons in the way!
Does anybody have a list of the locos at the front of the depot (parallel to the wagons)?
Also, I saw (what looked like) 2 Europhoenix 37s which I am assuming to be 37800 and 37884 (unless any more are in that livery?).
There was also a class 47 with ROG loco on the side with a fancy paintwork, which looking at Google looks like it may have been 47813?
Could anybody also confirm the presence of 37510 which I thought I saw?

Could anybody help me out here with the loco numbers and confirm my sightings?

It goes without saying that some of this may have changed around since, particularly the stuff thatch come and go, but most of the 56s, 37s etc should be the same.

There's a pic on WNXX latest news at the moment of three Europhoenix 37s at Leicester taken on Wednesday.

Looking from the station direction, 37884 was on its own on the left by the fuelling point (just to the right of what I think is a 47).
37800 + 37601 were then over to the right together in front of the depot building.

37601 left Leicester LIP at 08:31 yesterday (on OV94 to Long Marston) so depending on when you saw them would've been 37800 + 37884 as you thought.

Thanks for that and your following post. I actually saw a class 37 go past Hinckley as I was on a XC 170 so that would've been 601. So yeah, it would've been 800 and 884.

When did 37510 get that big dint at the end? I presume that is why its sitting OOU at the end of the sidings

There should also be 319421 and two Class 321's there too

Yes, 321401/403 were there (fairly recently at least).

List was from TOPS so just covered the locos.

37003 should be at Leicester now, having hitched a lift from the GCRN/Hotchley Hill with 57604, 41001 and 47828 (which are on their way to Old Oak Common).
