Rather oddly there are quite a few images of the station of Belgrave Road station in the Leicester Courts. These are up just as part of the general decor and no specific mention is made of what they are showing.

(I was there in a professional capacity - not against my will! :D )

Cheers,
Jason

There were some photos of where the line passed the midland mainline in railway bylines. There also used to be a book about the railways of Leicestershire. The museum service did an exhibition many years ago about belgrave road station, but don't know where the copies of the photos came from. I may have some from the railway papers that the Leicester mercury issued years ago.

If you enter "Leicester Belgrave Road railway station" into Google, you are presented with a list. Look on this for the one headed "Leicester Belgrave Road - LNWR/GWR Joint Railway". There are one or two images of the railway station on there, once you scroll downwards.

There are a few Leicester GNR shots in the Lens of Sutton collection. Some of them may be used in a forthcoming Steam Days article on the GN&LNW joint line.
