One for Birmingham area bashers
Jed
Ah yes, long live Jed.... and that wonderfull full length greatcoat he always wears.![]()
Has he still got the coat with about a million patches on?![]()
In the past 20 years or so, I've seen the duffel coat upgraded for a new version twice I think. I don't think the current one has any patches on it yet.
He's moved on from the army surplus greatcoat then - which as I recall he wore all year round. In the past 20 years or so, I've seen the duffel coat upgraded for a new version twice I think. I don't think the current one has any patches on it yet.

If you mean Jed, then yes; spotted at New Street a couple of weeks ago complete with obligatory duffel coat still in quite good conditionDon't say he's still about? Surely not?

Right, time to come clean........
In the eighties I have been a Jeds Ned going on his 'Family Rail Card' for a leap
His famous quote to one or two neds, 'do ya fancy a leap to Padd, get two more and we will come back on M61'
50 to Padd for one back for £1.50 in them days, no complaints me think....
Jed's most loyal ned was a chap called Mud I think ??
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
Just thought of another dubious one from days past....
A baglette called 'Electric Head'..... done 87's
Anyone remember ???
Ahh, Big Boo, you have got me thinking now.......
Toni Scamell, Leamington/KenilworthLiz, Wolverhampton, went around with Big Baker for a while I think ??
Here we go, West Midland neds as I remember them, no insult intended, just how I remember these guys being refered too/called.
Me, Toad......Big Baker, Little Baker, Fat Rob, Shuff, Smurf, Sharf, DIC, Nash, Hutch, Porky, Green Sleeves, Beaky, Steven Stone (is always valid), Ruddock,
Yestergen, Stourbridge Plebs, Pip, Mud, Moog, Kirk, Baby Kirk, Posh Sutton Neds,MGM, Cox.......
Being lead around by Jed, Alan Bayliss, Colin Moss, Colin Moss's mate who looked like Brian May !!, Rancid George.....
My god, we had some pretty decent engines on WMPTE Cards and MID's !!!
The Bradford Bricker? Did the same man get Tony Blair's PR agency to change it from the Bradford Bender?
Or should we now call him the "bradford man of no discernable sexual orientation".
Alive and well and still big in the CFPS last I heard.
