Left luggage - Grand Central

Ive left my case on the grand central train. Ive tried calling their helpline but they only open 9-5. The case has all my clothes in.

I am worried the train will leave tomorrow for London with it still there!

Does anyone know where the train goes overnight? Maybe I could call he depot.

My train arrived at Sunderland just before 7pm!

Any help, much apreciated.

There is no return to London this evening, and so your luggage will be at Heaton Depot tonight - it is more likely to check Sunderland station in the morning - they will have left it there. ! Hope i helped.

Leave them a message and send them an email telling what you'd like them to do with your bag. It might work....

If you caught the 13:45 from Kings Cross then I'm afraid the luggage if not found during the sweep at Sunderland (prob handed to supervisors there) it will be back in London...

It was a large case, in the over head racks. They wouldnt miss that at Sunderland surely?

How so, he said IF NOT FOUND DURING THE SWEEP AT SUNDERLAND, so what else do you think will happen to it, if its not found it will stay with the train unless some light fingered git has lifted it!

Thought so! It's difficult to see how a large suitcase can be missed when the train is turned round, but it does happen. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that it's been stolen before the carriage could be checked, after all, it's been known for luggage to be stolen on the train itself!

They told me it would be coming back to Sunderland on the 14:50 arrival from London.

It wasnt there

Now I am starting to worry, I have no clothes and everything was in this case, nobody seems to know where it is.

Anyone work for Grand Central and have case lying around your office, let me know its probably mine.

If they don't find big cases, there is a security risk as well. And Grand Central are probably not alone in that.
