I am so gutted. I rushed to get off me train at Gillingham tonight, then realised I had left my Gold Travelcard on the train. I quickly went to Enquiries, and after a few phone calls. It has not been found. I am so gutted. I need it for tomorrow, as I am going to Crewe. I just can't believe that between Gillingham and Sittingbourne, it's gone missing. It was not handed in at Rainham, but Newington is unstaffed in the evening I think. I have reported to SouthEastern lost Property. Any advice what I can do now.
Thanks in advance.

If you haven't previously lost it, you can return to the ticket office you purchased it from and obtain a replacement. If you have to purchase any tickets for travel in the interim, you can obtain a refund for these also.

Though possibly not for an absence of the Gold Card discount.

Definitely not for the gold card discount alone, only for journies which the lost ticket would cover.

£20 admin fee applies to a duplicate ticket and it will have to be authorised first so it won't be an on the spot thing.

Thank you all. To date, it has still not been handed in, though, I am still awaiting authorisation to purchase a duplicate ticket. This will be £10.
I have bought tickets that my pass would cover, and I do get those refunded.
I just find it annoying, especially as I saw the ticket on the table just after I got off, and the Conductor had started the train. By the time I got back to the office with the station assistant, the train had left Rainham (Kent). The next staffed station being Sittingbourne, and it's now not on the train.

I believe that you can only get a refund for the tickets you are buying day-to-day as part of the season ticket replacement - so even if someone hands in your pass, it is now useless, as I presume the daily rate for your ticket is quite high, and any administration fee in reissuing the season/photocard is small in comparison.

All solved. Received an email, asking for photo evidence, and when I boarded my train. They wanted to check CCTV, and after giving chapter and verse, including the fact I reported the loss to Lost Property, it has now been approved.

Good news, but be VERY VERY careful from now on. You've had your replacement, so won't be so lucky next time.

Eventually when seasons are put on smartcards, you won't need to worry. You won't lose out, and nor will the TOC (if the season is found by someone and used fraudulently).
