Do you find much difference generally in temperatures between your native North East and where you live now in the South East?

Generally, yes, especially in the summer where it's often a good 10C hotter in London and the south east. But on the other hand the coldest I've ever felt in my life has been waiting for a DLR at West India Quay with the wind blowing straight up the Thames.

I felt it coming back north after four years in London and the Home Counties...
