Hi we are travelling to settle on Friday 8th March

We thought there was a train at 15.45 but looking on train line I can only see one at 14.49 and 18.06

Can anyone help further

In addition travelling to Carlisle from settle on 9th March and returning from settle to leeds in Monday 11th are there any engineering works that sat or Monday

There isn't one normally at that time - the big gap is usual, and I'm unaware of any oddities on that day. You could get to Long Preston on the 1639 service. See page 10 of:

Not unless the ones on the 10th overrun - there are buses on the southern part of the line all day on the Sunday (I'm going up Saturday on the 1043 "fast" from Settle and down Sunday).

The two trains are as you list them - 1449 and 1806. There's no departure for anywhere towards Skipton and beyond at that time either, indeed the only 1545 departure from Leeds is for Kings Cross. Perhaps the 1349 and 1639 trains from Leeds-Lancaster / Morecambe may be of assistance - they stop at Giggleswick which is only 2-3 miles ex-Settle town, but they aren't on the same line.

There are no engineering works for the two dates you mention.

I would say it is only about a mile at most between the two towns, approx 10/15 minute walk.

Thank you guys - I must have been mistaken - the early one it will be !

We are doing the fast 10.43 to Carlisle from settle on the Saturday but coming back the same day

And not travelling on Sunday so should be ok Monday

Hi

Thanks for the advice - I just use train line on my phone to give me train times

Tend to book at the station or on the operator we are using
