Morning,

Staying in Leeds in a couple of weeks time. Just wondered if there were any hotels in close proximity to the railway station, close enough for me to maybe jot down some unit numbers/workings from my bedroom window?!

Thanks!

Hilton Doubletree is right by the tracks. You can almost shake hands with passengers on Platform 17.

However, many of the rooms face the other way, so you would need to specify when you book.

The Queens is on top of the station. Expensive mind!

There is a Novotel round the corner. I have stayed there. It was a Novotel: Solid, unspectacular, average, almost comfortable. Decent price. There is also the Discovery Inn. it looks cheap but i doubt yo ucan see the trains.

If you want to do that you need the Hilton. You will have to pay city centre Hilton prices mind! The travel lodge is very close to the station but i am unsure if you can see the tracks. You can form the Hilton. I have stayed there!

You could also see if there are any Airbnb rooms available in Candle House.

NB There is a Hilton and a Hilton Doubletree very close by each other.

Leeds Central Travelodge has lots of rooms overlooking the tracks. I’m sure the staff will be delighted to give you a room with a good view of the trains. Most people who stay there ask to avoid those rooms because of the noise and vibration. Some rooms on the back are extremely close but you would need to be on a higher floor to be above the level of the trains.
