Anyway that's an hour of my life i'd certainly like back please. Think of a video stream of rubbish strewn cutting, grim housing estate, filthy terrace backs and concrete dereliction on a 50 minute loop.....

Don't forget though that for many people that's all they can afford.

Knock a few hundred houses down, move the M1 sideways here and there, had a good few bridges, open up a number of cuttings, and I am only mentioning Leicestershire !!

I didn't realise the M1 had been built after the Great Central had closed.

Very true m8, doesn't make it nice to look at though and we were on about scenery (or lack of).

PS don't get the wrong idea, i'm no snob- born and bred in a depressing run down colliery town in the north east- working class to the bone

Birkenhead North-Birkenhead Park

At the start, a cultured and varied view of a wasteland moments after the USSR's missile landed. As the scenery progresses, locals have decorated the embankments with sofa, tyres and other items of 'modern art'. We finish with the beautiful gothic Victorian building that is Birkenhead Park Station, which was purchased in 1988 from B&Q.
