Hello users. I live in the US, and I wanted to learn more about European railways. So I was wondering, if anyone can recommend any books or good sites. Doesn't matter if its British Railways,OBB,SJ, bullet trains etc. I don't like wikipedia to research from, mostly since it isn't that resourceful or there is no topic. If there is a post on high speed trains like updates on HS2 etc. Please let me know. I am brand new to the site. So it'll take time for me to get familiar with everything.
I was also able to visit England, and see the fantastic system of railway network. Before flying off to the states I paid a visit to NRM via Virgin East Coast. Which was something that I wanted to see.Anyways, I am glad I found this site. That way I can keep up with one of my favorite railways. Also does any have or know if this book is good to read on classic railway eras? The price is kind of on the steep side. But I was wondering if it is worth it to buy. http://www.amazon.com/The-Golden-Age-European-Railways/dp/1783462841
Thanks.
