On Saturday night the 23.10 WMR service was cancelled between New St and Crewe and I was waiting at Stafford.
I spoke to Avanti staff at the station (who were excellent) and they said they were speaking to control in Birmingham at WMR to sort out a taxi.
An hour later, there was no taxi and they got through again to say no one was accepting the booking. Approx another 20 mins passed and randomly a coach turned up and the Avanti staff member told me he was going to Crewe. On I hop to a large coach with no one on board to Crewe.
It was now past 1am and my lift home wasn't available due to how late it was, so I had to order an Uber.
Speaking to Avanti staff, they were fuming about the delay, not only in booking a taxi but how long it took for anything to turn up. He said I should write to WMR rather than use delay repay, but just wanted advice on how I should be approaching this?
