Last broad gauge through Newton Abbot

I am writing new interpretation for the railway room at Newton Abbot Museum.
Would I be right in saying the last Down broad gauge engine to stop at Newton Station in May 1892, was Iron Duke on The Cornishman from Bristol, and the last Up was Amazon from Penzance. And did they cross at Dawlish?

Those may have been the last public trains, but the last loco and coaches to work down came immediately back up, passing the work in hand on the down line which was done first, because everything was assembled for scrapping at Swindon. Everything else had been moved up beforehand.

You have maybe covered that the last Broad Gauge loco of all, still existing today, was "Tiny" (BG locos had names but not numbers) which was left at Newton Abbot loco works as a stationary boiler, sat on a short length of BG track. It's now at the Buckfastleigh railway museum.

Thanks Taunton - so the last train Down, Iron Duke, would also be the last one Up, but returning without passenger carriages or empty, on the way to Swindon.

I have Tiny covered, thanks, also a recent find, a photo of John Lethbridge, the relief stationary engine man who worked on Tiny.
