laser eye surgery

Does anyone have any up to date knowledge regarding what TOCs accept trainee drivers who have had laser eye surgery? I did hear someone say that they think first group may do but this is unconfirmed. Anyone know for sure?

Some TOCs will accept some types of laser eye surgery, others do not accept any form of it due to the possibility of peripheral vision impairment.

Northern accept 3 of the variations, as per the RSSB standards.

First group it's a no for any laser eye surgery.

This interests me as after the first set of tests for a scotrail conductor vacancy, one of the ladies was telling us she had undergone laser eye surgery!
Will be keeping an eye out to see if she attends the conductor training starting on the 10th of February.

Think it's ok for a guard, but not a driver with First defo.
