Hello
Trying to plan a journey from Largs to Edinburgh Park (or Haymarket if need be) for a job interview for a week today. Ideally looking to get to either Haymarket for 14:00 or Edinburgh Park for about 14:30 ish. The interview is at an office near the Gyle Shopping Centre so at some point I may wish to use the tram to cut the walking distance (18 minutes walking from Edinburgh Park).
My questions is whether or not it is more convenient to travel to Edinburgh Park and walk/get the tram or go to Haymarket and back-track via the tram. Looking at off peak day returns to the two possible destinations it's £14.85 with a 16-25 railcard, but with Haymarket I could get a discount with PlusBus for the tram.
I'm also considering using CrossCountry from Glasgow Central to Haymarket as an option to cut down costs. At a push I could also travel from Glengarnock instead if I can get a lift there and back.
I'm sorry if this sounds complex but I was just interested to hear second opinions on what a viable itinerary would be that's most convenient. The company aren't willing to pay expenses so ideally reducing the cost to get there and back would be apreciated.
