I am unsure if this is best part of forum for this enquiry

To date all I have been able to find is some photos and limited information about this accident.

Would like to be directed to where a copy of Accident Report or any other details could be obtained.

06:15 Glasgow Central - Largs
318262 was at the rear
I assume 318254 was leading, as I travelled on this EMU several times and noted how uncomfortable and noisy the ride was!

The matter was dealt with by British Transport Police as it was quickly established from witness statements that brake failure was the cause
A copy of the report should be available on request from HSE

Update - I have found some newspaper articles that refer to an Interal Report (ScotRail ?) is says this report would be sent to HSE.

There were no deaths \ five people injured \ massive damage to building and Train.

Seems strange if only an internal report was done.

Thank to you guys for posting and all who have read.

Have contacted all I can think. Any ideas ?

You may find the accident was downgraded to RIDDOR, due to no person injuries
Apply to the HSE for a copy of the report
