Been hit with the virus of impatience. Waiting on a shnide Apple Watch strap to come through from China. Checked my tracking number a few days ago which had updated from 'Sender preparing item' to 'Sender preparing item' a few more times, I finally got a new update saying it was in the air. Today, I had a stranger update telling me the estimated date of arrival at the post office was 17th-25th June. This evening, it had updated to 'ITEM RECEIVED AT LANGLEY HWDC'. Knowing the strap was coming from China, I surmised it was at Heathrow (Worldwide Distribution Centre) so I went for a Google search...
Deary me. I'm now dreading now receiving my parcel for another year at the earliest. What actually goes on at Heathrow for so many people to have postage delayed inbound and outbound? I get some parcels are checked at random through customs, others are checked as they've either not been declared or have reason to believe they're items that shouldn't be sent via air, but then other random items like shoes and jumpers seem to be a big thing that gets 'stuck' at HWDC. Anyone any idea what actually happens at Heathrow?
