Hello all,

Can you use a Lancashire Day Ranger to go via Todmorden Curve - Todmorden-Burnley Manchester Road?

It's not on the validity map, but doubling back via Hebden Bridge is so it should be fine. They really ought update the map.

They could do with including the line from Wigan to Piccadilly via Golbourne Jn too; or if it isn't valid that way, they could do with making it valid that way!

As the mentioned Rover covers Man Piccadilly Wigan and Liverpool I have used it on TPE 350's from Wigan to Manchester Piccadilly and asked the guard before boarding never had a problem, the guards just say that the map needs updating

The same on Man Picc - Liverpool Lime Street I have used it on TPE , EMT via Warrington Central without any problems

I am thinking of using a LDR this Saturday and agree that the NR map should be updated. For good or ill, and discussed elsewhere on this forum, Northern's maps are less...er...confident, shall I say. NR maps display an authority which Northern's lack, despite the latter including both Todmorden and Golbourne as valid routes.

If I knew who or where to email, I would ask about a map update.
