G'day

Have a ticket booked from Lamphey to Manchester Piccadilly.
The fare I selected was for the direct train with no seat reservations avialable on this service.

The email I recieved from East Coast stated "Valid ATW and Connections"

I could actually change at Swansea & Bristol Parkway and arrive in Manchester a bit earlier, how would I go on an FGW or XC train with an Advance ticket with no seat reservations?

Cheers

I am sure you will have a mandatory reservation on one train (no need for the 'connection').

This is nothing to do with taking connections without a reservation. If you go via Bristol your ticket will be invalid and you will be charged the full Anytime single to wherever you require. That would be £67.80 to Manchester.

I am sure you have a reservation on one train (no connections) with no specific seat. You must take this train or your ticket is worthless.

Hi DJ737,

It sounds as if you have not yet collected your ticket.

When you do, it will have a reservation coupon. You'll be reserved on a particular train in "Coach * Seat ***". So you won't have a reserved seat, just a reserved place. You must use that train.

Hope that helps.

G'day

Haven't collected tickets yet, as I am still in Melbourne, arrive on the 20th.

Thanks for the clarification.
