Im organising a trip for myself and a group of friends and want to buy a dozen Lakes Day Rangers, including two for people who have a senior railcard.
As our first journey will be on a boat from Ambleside rather than a train I need to purchase them in advance, but cant find any website that sells them online. Is anyone aware of any Website that sells them?
Assuming there isnt I can presumably purchase them for in advance at any staffed station, but reading another recent thread I realise Im going to encounter the problem that I need to have my friends and their railcards with me. This isnt practical, so the only way I can see them buying this in advance would appear to be making a special journey to their local staffed station and asking for the ticket themselves. They can do this, although I am rather concerned that someone not especially well versed in buying rail tickets, asking for an obscure ticket at a suburban commuter station in the South East, may encounter a problem and end up getting the wrong ticket etc.
Any suggestions about an easier way of doing this welcome?
Cheers,
