Ladbroke Grove Emergency Timetable

Having a bit of a sort out and found the emergency timetable for FGW services from Ealing Broadway to the South West and South Wales + Bristol TM -Oxford for 11 - 15 October 1999. There are a lot of extra services running on Thursday 14 Oct only. Anyone got any idea why?

Thank-you. Wales 31 - Samoa 38. Closer inspection does show services to Cardiff from Swansea and Ealing Broadway late morning returning early evening.

Yes. And unless I'm mistaken every TOC except for Chiltern issued an emergency timetable!

Working in a Booking Office after Hatfield it felt sometimes that these timetables were being written retrospectively. I well remember the abuse on Friday nights because I could not tell people what would be running on Sunday to bring them back.

In the 165/6 trains there is still the automated announcements for the services terminating at Ealing Broadway, during all the unpleasantness !
