Incidentally, they typically swap the locos by means of attaching the steamer outside Haworth shed on the southbound run, then removing the diesel in the same location on the next northbound. So you get the chance of some steam/diesel double-headed action.

When I was there a few Augusts ago (I can think of the exact year if it's crucial) I remember being on a train out of Oxenhope with the class 20 piloting 78022. Then the 20 came off just before Haworth and went on shed. Not sure about the inbound working as we'd caught the other set (S160 - the number evades me) in and looked round the shed / museum area.

Almost - AIUI it saves rostering two steam crews (and gives the diesel drivers some work).

The diesel will also be used to transport staff and supplies along the line before the first train of the day.

Any works trains have separate paths and start after the first passenger train.

50, Deltic and 2x 31’s arriving in convoy this afternoon from the Midland Railway Centre too.

Oh dear so the two 37's l wanted to get haulage from now not attending. At least 250 going now a solid replacement in the thrash stakes.
Hope no more pull out especially 31210 heard is on it's on it's way. Booked hotel rooms so looking forward to a couple of days of fun and good weather though probably won't be as warm as down south at the moment!
Hat's off to the organisers for all their hard work.

Just came to me 37250 just has the nought in the wrong place to clone 37025!
The positioning tour with 45118 is running earlier than originally planned now 1610 arrival at Keighley and 37218 at 1510.
47715 tnt with the class 14 working on the KWVR Wednesday.
There's a WCR railtour at 1949 through Keighley too with steam and probably diesel on the rear.

37250 is certainly doing the rounds. Its one helluva machine.
Big Shame for you folks after certain locos mind. My heart goes out to you. Hopefully they might be able to get them later in the year, to tempt us out for the Autumn/ Winter Diesel galas.

37218 also rumoured to have failed and path to the KWVR now cancelled. Hopefully they can get it running or send a replacement.

You have to lament the catastrophic misfortune of 4 of the planned locos hitting some sort of trouble in such quick succession. They've already done well to source 2 replacement locos so quickly!
