I visited the VCT @ Ingrow and have to say that if the rest of the line was as busy,it was packed,then the railway was on for a bumper weekend....Yes there was a lot of oldies like me,but it was very noticeable the number of families with young kids...Did'nt travel so cannot comment on the train loadings...But seeing Bahamas and the Black 5 double heading was a sight I will remember.!..

Weather was very good in Blackpool on Sunday ,so trust they benefited from the same excellent weather.

I stopped off at Oxenhope very briefly to catch Bahamas' last arrival on the Friday. Stunning loco and loadings seemed decent for a weekday. Hope it was a success; a GWR guest loco doesn't appeal to me but I know it will for lots of others (and I understand that their first choice fell through and this was a last-minute substitute so credit to them) and it seems like they tried to make it as interesting and varied as possible.
