I hope to be in York in April. Thinking of going to the KWVR diesel gala on the 26th. Is the Friday very busy?

No it won't be, it will be busy but you will easily get a seat all day i usually prefer the Friday to be honest. Well worth a visit.

20020 and 26038 are coming down from Bo'ness, plus hopefully 31327 from the Strathspey Railway (quite a whopper that one, even though I don't need it myself).

KWVR announcement.

We are pleased to confirm that the visitors to our Diesel Gala weekend from 26th to 27th April will be 20020, 26038, 37264 and Class 25 D7628. All locos are subject to availability. The popular "shunter shuttle" will operate on Friday and Saturday and it is hoped that the Class 101 DMU may be available to operate for the first time since overhaul on Sunday. Further details and news will be made available nearer the event date. Sadly it has not been possible to have the previously advertised 31327 this year, although we are working to get this loco and more from the same location, for a future event.
