Does anyone know if the 24 Hr Koelncard can be bought at Koeln-Bonn airport? I regularly go to Koeln. Mostly I am sent via Duesseldorf airport but occasionally Koeln-Bonn is used. The normal KVB Tagesticket is for journeys on a single date, but it seems as if the Koelncard is a 24 hr product. That suits me perfectly as I only ever stay one night, and usually leave before 24 hrs are up.

Before you comment! I would love to use Eurostar plus Thalys/DB but the return times don't fit with the times when I can travel back. Also, I often have to return to cities in the north of England (plus Glasgow), and flying from Duesseldorf is then a no-brainer choice.

Yes I think you can.

According to http://www.koelntourismus.de/willkommen/koelncard.html "... an allen Fahrscheinautomaten der Deutschen Bahn im gesamten VRS-Netz erhältlich." at all DB ticket machines in the VRS Area. (strangely this is not mentioned on the English version of that page).

Also, if I remember right there is some kind of tourist information/hotel reservation counter at the airport where it probably is available.

Thanks. I would normally have a crack at the German but not if there was apparently an English version available.

The Koelntourismus website insists that you can only use the Koelncard if you are a tourist! Although I visit on business, I can justly claim to be filling my idle hours with a spot of tourism.
