Speaking to a member of the First Class team at the Lounge last week, I was told taht the existing First Lounge at Kings Cross in the office building next to York Way will be moving to its permanent location alongisde platofrm 8 in March. At the same time, the new concourse will be unveiled. The new Lounge will also apparently be on the first floor.

I can't quite figure out where the new concourse will be at Kings Cross come March. Will it simply be an extension of the existing one opposite the platform boards?

Its going to be over on the platform 8 side, next time your there walk out of kings cross via the platform 9, 10 and 11 route towards st pancreas and have a peek through gaps in the boards on your left as you go, you can really see it taking shape now. The prescent concourse will just be for exiting passengers, with boarding passengers entering through the bridge above the platforms and via the stairs and lifts and escalators. (or so im lead to believe anyway)

The new concourse is within the huge new semi-circular steel and glass construction on the west side of the station.
There are images and descriptions here:-

Although there is no public access to the new concourse at present, you can clearly see the new elevated walkways across the station from the escalators & lifts installed in the existing platforms, which lead up to the upper level.

You can see the new departure boards now too, and they appear to be working.

I guess I'll get to try the new lounge when I go to York in May. I've only been in the current one once.
