Hi folks - any help would be much appreciated!

I'm looking travel from Kilwinning to Euston on Friday on Virgin 1st class (would like to compare their breakfast to EC!), which seems simple enough to me.
However on my return on Saturday (after 1730), I'd like to break at Birmingham and finish the journey up north on Monday (again after 1730), ideally 1st class again but not bothered if it'd break the bank.

I have a student railcard if that helps!

Thanks :)

The cheapest way to do this is with Advance fares. First Anytimes are very expensive! Do you have any dates in mind?

It's this Friday (3rd Sept) I'm going to London
Returning to Birmingham on Sat (4th)
Back to Kilwinning on Monday (6th)

Is it possible to get an off-peak return instead?

There aren't any First Off-Peak returns on Kilwinning-London flows. It is going to be very difficult to find an affordable fare - but I am sure someone one here can help.

For future reference, you won't get discounts for a 16-25 Railcard on flexible First Class fares, only Advance 1st.

VWC will allow the weekend upgrade on advance tickets but you have to buy on board.

edit: subject to space - but there is nearly always space on a Pendo!
