Kids Have Their Uses

I have been volunteered to take my daughter to the lake District on Friday 10th for a job interview,great I thought I have 6 hours to kill and with a 300 mile round trip I dont want a long walk up Helvelin or anything like that.

Then I have a good look at Google Maps and RESULT

The interview is about 20 minutes from the Lakeside and Haverthwaite so I have a whole day to myself photographing and riding behind some lovely steam

I can thoroughly recommend a drive over the mountain passes at Hardknott, Borrowdale and Wrynose. You may have been driving lots already, but you'll be paying a lot more attention on them!

Younger kids are pretty useful for getting rail fares down. With a Family Railcard adult + child is less than adult on his/her own travelling without a railcard. Borrow a child if you haven't got one of your own!

There'd be a business opportunity for an entrpreneurial 15 year old to hire himself out to railcard holders, if such a system could be organised.

Not having kids is the cheaper option, the cash that was going to go on them can be used to go bashing

I liked the shot and 57s im a fan of them too whatever my avatar 20s 37s 40s and 50s will always be my top classes to go out for
