Hi all.

Going Kidderminster to Torquay on Sun 8 Sep and returning Fri 13 Sep.

I would presume splitting at Worcester and Bristol is the cheapest, as splits via Bham seem alot more.

Outgoing on Sunday 8 Sep appears to have engineering works??.....or something going on, as the first train from Worc isn't until 14.36.

Anyone know if there is works....or just that the tickets haven't been released yet ??

Many thanks.

The 1436 has been the first train from Worcester towards Cheltenham & Bristol on a Sunday for a long time now.

Oh ok....shows how much I know the route

I don't suppose there are any other splits, other than Worcester and Bristol, other than going via Bham ?

Are you looking for flexibility? Or happy to tied to specifc services?

If the difference was a tenner, then I prefer flexibility.....but happy to commit if a bigger saving can be found.

Probably would help also to state it will be 2 adults and a child with a family and friends railcard. Getting between £85 and £127 on my searches so far.

Which by itself is a huge nuisance but coupled with a pathetic easement banning people making journeys from Worcester and Malvern changing at Bromsgrove instead is surely an unacceptable level of service provision. Causes me no end of hassle on Sundays. Especially since the revisions to the Hereford services on a Sunday broke the remaining connections from Worcester anyway.
