Hi all,

If I purchase an advance return ticket, will I be able to travel via westbury & exeter as well as via bristol temple meads ? Just want to see if I can travel this way just for a a different view.

There is no such thing as an Advance return ticket on this journey. Advances are only available as singles.

If you purchase an Advance ticket then you will be limited to travel on the train on which you are reserved between Bristol Temple Meads and Exeter/Dawlish.

A walk-up ticket (£32.00 after 08.33, £37.80 any time) is valid for travel via Westbury and Castle Cary as well as via Bristol.

Thanks for the info. The £32ticket was what I was looking at although there doesnt seem much in the way of train options from westbury onwards.

Depends on how many choices you want.

Direct trains from Westbury in the Taunton directions avoiding Bristol are at 0826, 0931 (Changing at Castle Cary), then a gap till 1222, 1359, 1623, 1804, 1901, 2005, 2105, 2157. Many trains run fast between Reading and Taunton on that line so not all of them stop at Westbury.
