I will still stand by keyGo and say it makes sense for me as I rarely travel outside the keyGo area and, if I do, it's probably to London, which I will buy a travelcard on my Key smartcard for anyway. I also use keyGo for my commute to work 4 days per week, since it's cheaper for me than buying a season ticket due to my 16-25 railcard.
I can't see using Key Go again unless Uber Travel stops offering me 10% cash back credit on my rail ticket purchases with them against future rail or taxi journeys or unless and until GTR decide to offer 10% off for using The Key to buy rail journeys given the huge savings they would be able to make on finally getting rid of running and maintaining all their large expensive paper ticket issuing and cash accepting ticket machines.
In fact if Uber Travel can afford to offer me 10% off for buying my rail tickets through their Android and Iphone App then logically Key Go really ought to be able to afford me at least 15% off for cutting out the travel agent middle man and the commission they clearly pay to them (which must be more than 10% if Uber can afford to give me 10% cash back).

No one receives 10% commission on the sale of train tickets. It is quite possible that Uber will be making a loss on this, particularly for lower value tickets that are only available as paper tickets.

Are you on some kind of commission for constantly mentioning Uber Travel giving 10% Uber cash back on train tickets, including tickets through the Uber Travel Android and iPhone app where you also get 10% Uber cash back? And if so, can I have some too?

No not on any commission from Uber at all and just keen to encourage other forum members to cut the cost of their rail travel by 10% while also hopefully applying pressure to the rail operators to offer the same discount for direct bookings with them via their own websites and/or smartcard schemes.

I think initially Uber implied the 10% Uber Cash Wallet rebate was only for a few months until a certain date (possibly only for three months) but they seem to have extended it more than once.
So it probably is a promotion that they may end at some point if the cost becomes too high and the number of new customers they are drawing in to book rail tickets through their App is no longer rapidly increasing.
Also for the time being their business partners Omio seem in need of more feedback from additional new users about the various technical failings in the App with booking rail tickets that still need to be fixed. So luring in more users may be helpful in adding pressure on Omio to bring that about......
The partnership with Omio for rail ticketing by Uber was announced on 3rd August last year (see www.omio.com/corporate/newsroom/press-releases/omio-announces-partnership-with-uber/) but I'm not quite sure of the exact date when it went live. I know I had been seeing the Travel tab in my Uber App for a few months or more before I bothered investigating what it was about although at the time I had almost totally stopped using Uber for taxi rides due to ridiculously long waiting times with multiple drivers cancelling rides after initially accepting them. This is a particular problem trying to get an Uber from Horley or Three Bridges stations where drivers may easily be lured away from my ride by the prospect of more profitable jobs at Gatwick Airport. Also doesn't seem to help that my own home is outside the Uber Pickup service area so they will have to drive a few miles in order towards London or back towards Gatwick in order to pick up another customer.......
