Kettering Station Car Park Space Availability Question

Given the MML 810/222 woes I’m considering driving to Kettering for a day trip to London. This would be on a Wednesday. I can see online that it appears to have a large car park. My question is how likely am I able to find a space at around 10 am?

It a long while since I lived in East Northamptonshire so I don’t know what the current situation is. Bear in mind that there is now a depot at Kettering, with associated staff parking requirements.

Whatever you do, don’t try Corby where the council-run station car park is heavily oversubscribed. (Although there is now an arrangement with Tesco on the opposite side of the main road for ‘railway’ parking, for a fee.)

I think there is usually space in the South Car Park all the time. It should be quieter than normal anyway as it's peak summer holiday season.

However hopefully others that use the station daily will weigh in with a more informed view

Always lots of space in the two Wellingborough car parks all day, especially the top car park.

I used to work in Kettering back in 2021-2024 and can vouch the large car parks are never rammed, always plenty of room. There are 2 car parks, north and south both next to platform 1.
The connect service leaves from platform 1 to London every 30 mins Mon to Sat the 360s are definitely more reliable than the 222s and the 810s!!

I live in Kettering, almost opposite the station. South car park is never full these days. You’ll find a space there. North can get mostly full on occasion.
