Kettering (KET) to Stansted Airport (SSD)

Hello, I live in London and I need to travel to Stansted Airport soon. I see that a ticket from London Liverpool Street to Stansted Airport is about £23 even when booked online, however I found that if you buy a Kettering to Stansted Airport, via London, it is only about £12 or so (even less for me as I have a 16-25 railcard).

I need to travel on Friday 25 April to arrive at the airport at around 17:30. If I do buy this ticket, even if I will not start my journey in Kettering and would only do the London Liverpool Street to Stansted Airport part, would anybody find out? Is it perfectly doable or would my ticket not work?

The Kettering fare is an Advance ticket. The rules for this ticket state:

BREAK OF JOURNEY:
Customers may not start, break and resume, or end their journey at any intermediate station except to change to/from connecting trains as
shown on the ticket(s) or other valid travel itinerary.

Your ticket would therefore not be valid for a journey starting in London.

If you hold a 16-25 railcard, then an Off Peak Single London Terminals to Stansted Airport is £15.45

The fare you quote above is without the railcard discount.
