I have an appointment in Broadstairs next week and want an anytime or off peak return from London Terminals.

Outbound I'll likely take the Kent coast route via Grevesend from St Pancras.

However on the way back I really want to route Broadstairs > Ramsgate > Dover to London via Cantabury East.

This is because I've never riden between Dover and Faversham and it's the only bit of mainline in the SouthEast I haven't been on (geeky stuff)

An off peak return to Broadstairs inst valid via Canterbury East.

Neither a return London to Dover isn't valid via Broadstairs (i don't think)

Looks like a return to Sandwhich may be my best bet.

Does anyone have a suggestion of how I could fulfil my unusual journey without the need to buy 3 x singles please? Thank you

Sandwich is fine via Broadstairs or Canterbury E, and your ticket allows break of journey.

Thank you. I appreciate your reply.
Do you know anywhere that I can check what a valid route is? For example brfares type thing. The only way I can check is trial and error using an online journey planner and using the "via" function.

There isn't a publicly available tool that lists all valid routes. You either have to go by trial and error as you say, or you have to look at the Routeing Guide, which is not a simple document to understand.

Thank you, I'll take a look
But probably stick to trial and error

Or....
Why not see what routes are offered on the Forum's own ticket-purchasing platform - RailUK Tickets?
That's precisely what I did, de-selecting splits and Advance fares first. I didn't even need to put "via Faversham." (Other journey planners are available, but this gives you most options - I have graduated from NRE which used to be good for this.)
