Does any one have any knowledge of 2 rail links to the old waterworks near by Kempton Park, just outside south west London? I recall years ago seeing a short spur from the Shepperton to Waterloo suburban line. I have also heard of a narrow gauge line that went from these waterworks/pumping station, past the reservoirs toward the River Thames around Sunbury/Hampton, I guess both of these lines would of been used for getting coal into the waterworks to fuel the steam pumps, which I understand have been refurbished and sometimes are in steam for exhibition purposes. I also heard that one of these lines may be recreated in a small way. I think there is something similar at Kew? Rgds.
