Hi,

Looking for advice on fares for my wife.

Wondering if we can beat £36.80 for this single.

She's not returning and is entitled to no railcards.

The journey is on the monring of 20 April 2013. She's looking, ideally to arrive around 1030-1100 but there's some flexibility. We're not looking for huge increases in journey time and she won't be returning (she will be coming back to me but via a randabout route with additional fares bought by her employer).

Try splitting at LDS or even better at HUD.

KEI-HUD £5.40 SDS (0759 change at LDS 0828/40)
HUD-CTR £11.00 Advance single on 0859 TPE (which is the 0840 ex LDS)
change at Piccadilly 0936 into 0950 ATW to Chester.
£16.40 total.

Splitting at LDS is £1 less from KEI but £2 more onwards to CTR arr 1053.

Thanks for all the advice.

I've got a 1st advance from LDS to Chester - it'll only be 1st to MAN but she's happy with that.

Saved £12 or so and upgraded to 1st for part of the journey - not bad.
